BUYER CHECKLIST · UPDATED 6 NOVEMBER 2026
Begin with unit identity
This buyer checklist requests make, model, serial or chassis plate, displayed hours or mileage, current location, inspection date and available service history. Tie the records to the proposed unit.
Excavator photographs
Request all sides, undercarriage, tracks, sprockets, rollers, boom, arm, pins, cylinders, engine bay, cab display and attachments. Ask for a written record of available cold-start, hydraulic, slew and travel checks.
Generator enquiry
Request the set, engine and alternator plates; kW and kVA; rating duty; voltage, frequency and phase; controller and enclosure details. Request dated load-test records for that serial number. Do not infer tested condition from a running photograph.
Truck and delivery information
Request chassis identity, axle and drivetrain details, body dimensions, current views and available inspection records. List included attachments, loading arrangements and the delivery destination.
